Secret journals whisper, if you care to heed
From a shelf shunned by the common sight
In your grasp it looks weathered and meek
Yet within its pages someone’s essence lies
From a shelf shunned by the common sight
In your grasp it looks weathered and meek
Yet within its pages someone’s essence lies
Each petal shapes a tale tenderly displayed
As blooms unfold in guise of a garden's art
Amid the scented leaves memories cascade
In a floral page, truths and dreams impart
As blooms unfold in guise of a garden's art
Amid the scented leaves memories cascade
In a floral page, truths and dreams impart
The Journal
The journal is a section of the garden dedicated to collecting simple musings about my everyday life. Experiences lived, inspiration found, and lessons learnt. Here I nurture seeds of thoughts, feelings and experiences, tending them toward blossoming into full reflections. It serves as a refuge for onliest dialogue, somewhere I can reflect about my interests, my passions, and my practices of introspection. It also teaches me openness, by allowing me to share a personal athenaeum of my experiences in this life.
April, 2024: This month I am celebrating turning 26 years old. I am so grateful for the blessing of being alive on this little planet for twenty six years. That is a little more than a quarter of a century, how wonderful does that sound? To honour the occasion, I reserved a moment of instrospection to compile a list of 26 things that I have learnt about being human during this time.
January, 2024: During a brief period of tranquility and stillness, I frequently found myself searching for a reminder of the importance of living tenderly and slowly. With the help of some encouraging words by the wonderful Mary Oliver, I practiced shifting my awareness to things beyond my self, by cherishing the interconnectedness of all living beings on this earth.
